Congratulations! We’ve made it through one of the most difficult times in history!
If you’re like me, sitting at home with no place to go can only last for a limited amount of time until adventure starts calling again. Thankfully, restrictions are being lifted, and the world of travel is beginning to spin once more. In my home state of Oklahoma, we have now entered into Phase 3 with open businesses, houses of worship, and public places. It’s refreshing to see life reset and resume with resiliency as the summer travel season begins.
While the travel industry endured a significant wound during the Covid-19 crisis, it did not suffer a fatal blow. Like many other sectors caught in the crossfires of the pandemic, the travel industry is now quickly returning to life. While it’s not quite full speed ahead just yet, I can assure you that the world of travel will come back bigger and better than it was before. In fact, industry leaders are calling for an incredible resurgence in 2021!
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS & PRODUCTS EMERGE
The temporary pause on travel during the spring created many new opportunities for strategic partnerships and alliances. As the old saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention--and in the case of the travel world, the coronavirus challenge presented a fresh perspective for many in the industry. Several companies and professionals are creatively pooling their expertise, resources, and supplies together to provide an even more dynamic supply to travelers. In fact, several of these new hybrid travel products began rolling out as soon as Memorial Day weekend. (Speaking of Memorial Day weekend and family cookouts, check out this awesome grill and smoker!)
Some of my favorite new offerings in the travel market include Luxury RV Rentals through Abercrombie and Kent, luxury home rentals in the US, and private villa rentals in Mexico and the Caribbean. Glamping is also becoming a trend this summer with locations available in both the US and Canada. Finally, American National Parks like the Grand Canyon will see record number of visitors this summer. So if you’re looking for an outdoor adventure with wide open space, this is your year to travel!
